✨ This Was the Igniting Innovation Travel Day 2025

On November 20th, we celebrated a new edition of the Igniting Innovation Travel Day—an event that once again highlighted that technology, data, and AI are not only transforming the tourism industry, but doing so through a key factor: strategic alliances between technology companies and Travel-sector businesses.

These collaborations are becoming the driving force that accelerates innovation, enhances the traveler experience, and boosts the sector’s competitiveness.

Throughout the day, held at the Saratoga Hotel (Palma de Mallorca), we brought together industry leaders, technology experts, and partners who shared their vision on how co-innovation is setting the pace for the future of tourism.

The event kicked off with an opening by Juan Torres Tello (Microsoft), followed by a morning full of insights on the impact of these collaborations. Fredrik Odéen (Amadeus) delved into the role of technology partnerships as a lever for accelerating innovation in Travel, while Jose Godoy (Hosteltur) and Javier Soriano (Connectycs – Finlei Group) highlighted how applied technology is redefining both the traveler experience and the management of tourism services.

After a coffee and networking break, María Soto Castro and Miguel Tabera (Bravent) presented real success stories that demonstrated how collaboration between tech companies and different players in the sector can translate into tangible results—from travel assistants integrated into channels like WhatsApp, to cross-selling platforms and dashboards providing key, real-time insights, among other solutions.

The morning concluded with a roundtable featuring Joan Barceló (W2M), JuanMa González (PortBlue Hotels & Resorts) and Juan José Guasp Hernán (OK Mobility), moderated by Juan Torres Tello (Microsoft), who discussed the decisive role strategic alliances are playing in transforming tourism from within.

It was an inspiring day—full of high-value conversations and concrete examples of how collaboration between tourism and technology companies is redefining the traveler experience and shaping the future of tourism.

Thank you to all attendees, speakers, and collaborators for making this edition possible. Let’s keep driving innovation in the Travel sector!
