Igniting Innovation Day: Transforming the future with artificial intelligence

On December 3rd, Bravent organized Igniting Innovation Day in collaboration with ESIC, a space to explore how technology, and in particular artificial intelligence, is revolutionizing industries and transforming business models. With keynote speakers from leading companies and real use cases, the event became a platform for inspiration and learning.

Artificial Intelligence: A Driver of Innovation

The event focused on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in different areas, highlighting its ability to transform the customer experience, automate processes and optimize operations. Eduardo Aguirre, from Grupo Atento, emphasized how generative AI is changing the way companies interact with customers, achieving richer and more personalized conversations thanks to advanced chatbots and behavioral analysis.

For her part, Nera González from Prosegur shared how AI empowers their internal tools, from preventing money laundering to reducing false positives in fraud detection, thus improving both back-office and customer service.

Real Use Cases: Innovation in Practice

The speakers also presented concrete examples of how they are using AI in their industries. Jorge Carulla of Avoris highlighted the potential of extreme personalization in tourism, imagining real-time interactions that anticipate travelers’ needs. Meanwhile, Marc Riera of Word2Me Group shared his focus on process optimization through automation and artificial intelligence, allowing travel agents to focus on creative tasks.

From the infrastructure sector, Chema from Grupo Ortiz spoke about how AI can facilitate the day-to-day work of construction managers, allowing them to access critical information in real time without the need for manual interactions.

Innovation in Infrastructure: The Case of Ferrovial

Cristina Ochoa, innovation and digital strategy leader at Ferrovial, presented how her company is using digital twins and XR technologies to improve efficiency and safety in infrastructure management. Ferrovial has implemented digital twins to simulate and monitor assets, allowing it to validate designs and optimize operations before physical implementation. This technology is also used to train artificial intelligence algorithms with synthetic data, improving the accuracy and effectiveness of predictive models.

Cristina explained, “For us, digital twins are like a safe environment where we can test different systems and solutions before deploying them in the physical world.”

Ethics and Regulation: A Necessary Debate

Beyond the opportunities, the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence were also addressed. Speakers agreed on the importance of designing responsible systems from the outset, minimizing biases and ensuring that technologies are used for the common benefit. Nera Gonzalez stressed the need for constant audits and human oversight to ensure compliance with ethical standards.

Copilot Tips: Magda Teruel’s Presentation

Magda Teruel, Copilot Solution Architect at Microsoft, shared valuable tips on how to take full advantage of Copilot’s capabilities.
Magda highlighted the importance of using Copilot to simplify everyday tasks and improve productivity.“My obsession is to share how Copilot can make life easier,” Magda commented.

Inspiration for the Future

Igniting Innovation Day also included moments of inspiration. One of the most notable keynotes came from Fernando Rodriguez, Director of the Higher Online Program in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Marketing and Sales at ESIC, who compared the impact of AI to historical milestones such as the discovery of fire.

Jesús Serrano, Principal Product Manager AI at Microsoft, gave a keynote presentation on how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing creativity and design. Serrano shared examples of how AI can generate thousands of design combinations in engineering, optimize creative processes and transform entire industries. “Artificial intelligence helps us think differently because it works in a completely different way,” Serrano stated.

Innovation Showroom

During the event, we also had a showroom of solutions where we presented:

  • Conversational Avatar where through Generative AI you could talk and transact business with Isidro, our OpenAI Avatar.
  • XR Corner where attendees could immerse themselves in extended reality through the Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest Pro 3.
  • SelfIA where attendees could create their personalized photo with AI and be a Pixar character, a superhero or their own Funko.

Conclusion

The event made it clear that collaboration and creativity, along with artificial intelligence, will be key to meeting the challenges of the future. At Bravent, we remain committed to creating spaces that foster innovation and learning.
